Katarina Erlandsson, PT DPT
Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS)

passion for treating runners arose as I was practicing in a sports medicine clinic in Manhattan. Every year, the clinic would be inundated with runners training for the NYC Marathon. What I saw in runners was that despite their gruesome training schedules - and even though running is not always easy (or fun) - there seemed to be an intrinsic drive to keep going. That common drive and will to continue, whether an elite long-distance athlete or a slow-jogging weekend trotter,  makes runners a fascinating population to work with.

Katarina Erlandsson has treated runners and other athletes for over fifteen years. First as a massage therapist working in a boutique style Manhattan fitness studio, and then as a doctor of physical therapy, partnering up with some of NYC's top sports medicine physicians and orthopedic physical therapists.

Although now specializing in treatment of primarily runners, she has worked with individuals from across the board of the exercise spectrum - from Olympic athletes to recreational 'weekend warriors."

Katarina has herself been involved in sports and training since a young age. She was a competitive youth soccer player in her home-country Sweden, and has been an avid volleyball player and a recreational boxer as an adult.

Katarina moved with her family to Madison, NJ, in the fall of 2020. She currently runs 3-4 times per week, is a member of Rose City Runners Club, and she's enjoying  the trails this area has to offer.

Running a beautiful trail in my native country, Sweden.
